Bravo, Overland Meat & Seafood Co.! The Chilean Sea Bass, Hawaiian Shrimp, and fresh oysters made a spectacular dinner. And I’m enjoying the leftovers for breakfast. Thank you for bringing such superior choices to our town. Shirley B.
Made my way over from North Shore, Tahoe City, to Overland Meat Company yesterday. Love your shop. Wish I could get over your way more often to buy your goods. The BEST!! Andrea G.
The best meat market in the entire area. Shawn W.
Nothin but good food for the family from a local store! Crystal M.

Great experience with Overland! They are always nice and helpful, the meat is amazing, and I love to give my $$ to such an AWESOME business. Here is my advice: get the breakfast sausages. O.M.G. So delicious. We got a really delicious organic chicken that my guy and I decided was one of the most flavorful we had, it absorbed flavor really well! We also got a boneless pork loin, which wasn’t in the display case, but the butcher man swiftly got a packaged one from their fridge and cut it to size in one swift movement (oh yeah these guys are REALLY fast!). I live nearby and this is on my regular grocery route.

I’m a born-again Tahoe Local who grew up on the West Shore then lived in the Bay Area for a long time and was a butcher patron there. Now that I’ve moved back to Tahoe, I’m stoked to discover this place, which offers high-quality meat at good prices. IMO, the prices and quality are comparable to my old butcher, Ver Brugge in Berkeley (although this place offers a lot that VB does not). They have a sign showing how much credit card companies charge them to handle your plastic, and ask you bring cash or check (I do! When I did the owner overheard and personally thanked me! Yeah anti-corporate local businessmen!!). They also have massive meat package deals, several different cuts and types or meat for one price.

I think I need a breakfast sausage right now… Maddy H.

One of the first things I look for in a butcher when I walk in is the smell. If I smell meat of fish I walk out immediately because fresh meat has no noticeable smell nor dies fresh fish. That is your first impression at Overland. No smell.

Add to that the incredibly friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff and you have a winning combination. But that’s not the end of it.

The daily specials all top quality at very reasonable prices. Fresh produce is also available and quite a comprehensive wine selection.

All in all the value received at overlands makes shopping for your meats anywhere else kinda silly. George H.

Our annual vacation to South Lake Tahoe begins with a trip to Overland Meats – then daily we return – the quality that they carry is the reason. The service and knowledge of the butchers adds to our experience. This store is a local treasure. Lorraine V.
Absolutely delightful: the meat, the service, the friendliness and knowledgeability. We’re fans and can’t wait for fresh fish Friday! (And Tuesday). For an easy, prepared grilling experience, try the steak kabobs. Wow. Cara M.
